“Where did I come from?” asks your four-year-old.
This is a classic question. Before answering, you should find out if he really wants to know how he was made when he was a baby. 4-year-old children take things literally that is why you have to choose words wisely, carefully and you have to give simple answers. If your child is older (more than 8 years) you can tell in a more detailed way.
“Mum and dad made you. You were very little in the beginning and you grew in your mummy’s tummy till you were big enough to come out.”
“You grew up in mummy’s tummy. A baby starts growing there when an egg from mum and a seed from dad get together.”
